Heartbreakingly Proud

I have run behind my daughter, holding her wobbly bike only to have her pull away and ride ahead all by herself!  Such a strange feeling of pride, fear, hope and sadness at seeing my little girl grow up..

The Crystal Method, First Avenue 6/7/2009

LOUD. Awesome. Good crowd for a Sunday night, too. I showed up just in time to see them, have too many beers, and go home. (BTW, it's an interesting mix of folks riding the 18 bus at 9pm on a Sunday night..)

These are things Eli, Lily, Sophie and Sean found while wandering down the shore.  Bungee, shells both snail and clam, and a crayfish claw!  He called it snorkeling but we call it.. wading.  :)

Memorial Day Weekend

What did we do over Memorial Day Weekend?

Ok, so that's about it, except for this... The kids are learning to use the camera. In Lily's case, we have her proudest picture:

TNR

Huh. For some reason the GPS stopped recording downtown -- I think I might have turned it off when I checked what time it was at a stoplight? Anyway, the route continued on around Nicollet Island and then up to Psycho Suzies.

Great ride, but HOT! It was 89 degrees at 9:30 last night.. Pfeh!

Waterpark Weekend

The whole family had an awesome (albeit exhausting) weekend soaking in hottubs, sliding down tubes, and floating along the lazy river.  Although Lily kept reminding us that the lazy river "wasn't so lazy" it was a great experience.

This weekend was Grandma & Grandpa's christmas present for the family and it was fun to get a treat so far from the season.

We ended the weekend by feasting at Famous Daves.  I'm ready for a nap!

Crazy Craig Camera Tricks

I got Eli a new book on movie special effects, and this week for family night we decided to shoot a few scenes for fun.  As usual, it was a blast! 

Spring Music Program

Lily had a school concert and then we went to Wild Rumpus and then had a coffee at an outdoor cafe!
